EPA 608: Exam Guide & Official Sources
EPA-approved certifying organizations administer equipment-specific Section 608 certification tests. This path teaches selected written-knowledge foundations across Core and the three equipment categories.
Credential and equipment scope
Type I covers small appliances; Type II covers high- and very-high-pressure appliances with the stated exclusions; Type III covers low-pressure appliances. Universal combines the equipment categories and requires a qualifying proctored Core.
- Credentials do not expire.
- A course completion record is not automatically the EPA-approved credential.
What this path provides
Use 12 lessons, 40 retrieval cards and 200 original learning items plus two independent Library guides. The app does not issue certification, administer the approved exam or assess field competence.
- Selected Core, Type I, Type II and Type III written-knowledge foundations; not complete official examination coverage.
- 200 learning items across 48 rule/task families; several related cases share a source rule. Counts do not represent 200 independent technical concepts.
