Understand the ASVAB, AFQT, CAT and career-exploration boundaries
- Distinguish a derived AFQT score from the full battery.
- Recognize that this fixed teaching set cannot supply an official score.
US English selected foundations in AR, MK, WK and PC. Not a complete battery course, official adaptive test, official score conversion, enlistment decision or military operations instruction. Science/technical/spatial gaps explicit; qualified educator review pending.
The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery, or ASVAB, includes verbal, mathematics, science/technical and spatial domains. AFQT is not a second entrance exam. It is a score derived from four ASVAB subtests: Arithmetic Reasoning, Mathematics Knowledge, Word Knowledge and Paragraph Comprehension. This guide selects foundations from those four areas; it does not teach the other science, electronics, auto/shop, mechanical or spatial content. Official AFQT results are reported as percentiles relative to a reference group, not as the percentage of questions answered correctly. For example, a worksheet that reports 9 of 12 correct as 75% has described its own small set. That does not establish an AFQT percentile of 75. Our questions have no official norm group, score conversion or demonstrated correspondence to an operational ASVAB form. CAT-ASVAB refers to computer-adaptive administration, in which item selection responds to estimated ability. Our fixed four-option exercises do not reproduce that selection process. The Career Exploration Program, or CEP, places ASVAB within career exploration and planning for civilian and military work. A career-exploration activity, an adaptive delivery system and a derived score are different concepts; none turns this guide into an official eligibility decision. The review date is October 28, 2026. Practice the math here by hand because the official ASVAB assesses calculation without a calculator. All cases and passages are newly authored learning material, not secure test items. We supply no service cutoff, job guarantee, official score estimate or military operating instruction. A full preparation plan still needs the omitted areas and any current official administration information relevant to the learner. Qualified educator review remains pending.
