LSAT Study Plan

Choose one schedule that fits your weekly time. Each combines the existing 12 lessons, 200 original foundation questions, 40 retrieval cards and 3 illustrated guides with free official LawHub practice. Work is assigned by day, with counted review time and specific checkpoints.

Version 2026-10-28Published Free · No sign-up

Read this scope first

Original foundation planning for the current LSAT cycle throughJune 2027. Short site passages and linked teaching questions are not complete official tests; LawHub blocks use authentic free full tests. No score improvement, readiness or passing guarantee is made.

Author-checked ID/prerequisite references and exact schedule sums; independent agent review and learner validation are separate. Minutes are editorial estimates, not measured completion times.

Independent content review: peer checkedQualified educator review: pending

Independent checks and qualified educator review are separate. This original study resource does not claim official endorsement, a validated score prediction or a pass guarantee.

Choose one duration

The three schedules are alternatives, not consecutive assignments. Choose the shorter plan only when its longer weekly blocks are realistic. Each week's final checkpoint is already part of the stated minutes. Day 7 is a rest day or a move of already budgeted work. Days without a listed task are rest or a budget-neutral move of already scheduled work; do not add another required session.

Use the correct cycle and the verified free route

For testing throughJune 2027, the multiple-choice LSAT has four 35-minute sections, with two scored Logical Reasoning sections, one scored Reading Comprehension section, and one unscored LR or RC section. A 10-minute intermission follows section two. Each practice-test block here counts 140 minutes of timed work plus that 10-minute break, not real-exam check-in, proctor re-entry, or device setup. Setup and review are separate tasks.

LSAC's official practice page lists four free full four-section PrepTests. Use a free LawHub account and choose tests marked free; a LawHub Advantage purchase is optional and not required by any schedule. LabelsA–D are your own records for the chosen test identifiers, not invented official test numbers. If a test is already familiar, label it as a repeat rather than an unseen diagnostic. Free drill sets can also be revisited for a stated learning purpose.

LSAC has announced a format change fromAugust 2027. These timing blocks are not that later format. If your planned test isAugust 2027 or later, check the linked official update before using this schedule. Approved timing accommodations likewise require recalculating blocks and weekly totals.

What the site task pool contains

All question, card, lesson and guide references point to existing LSAT objects. The 200 items are original foundation tasks: 131 LR and 69 RC, organized in 68 shared-stimulus teaching sets. Reading selections are shorter than full official passages, and several LR tasks deliberately reuse a stimulus to isolate different reasoning decisions. Completing this pool does not establish complete LSAT coverage.

Use explanations and delayed retrieval

Before opening an explanation, record the item or official-test identifier, your choice, confidence, and the exact phrase or rule supporting it. After checking, distinguish a task-stem misread, premise/conclusion error, causal alternative, conditional reversal, quantity/scope error, unsupported reading inference, or timing decision. A correct guess and a justified answer should not be logged as the same event.

A reattempt is deliberately familiar. Its purpose is to reconstruct the reason after a delay, compare a plausible rival, or build a valid counterexample—not to manufacture a higher unseen-test score. Use official full tests separately to observe authentic presentation and stamina. Limited review blocks prioritize specified uncertainty flags; unresolved items stay on the log for the next review.

When a checkpoint reveals a gap, reallocate the stated minutes from review or drill time. Never silently shorten an official timed section or remove its break to make the schedule fit. If the available hours do not cover the needed repair, extend the calendar rather than call the gap mastered.

Original writing rehearsals

LSAT Argumentative Writing is a separate unscored requirement, not assessed by the site's multiple-choice pool. The official guidance describes 50 minutes for most test takers: 15 for analysis and 35 for writing. The following brief prompts are independently authored rehearsal material, not official LSAC prompts. A scheduled 65-minute writing task adds 10 minutes for public guidance and 5 for self-review; it does not submit the official assessment.

Worked example

A university is considering a graduation requirement of 40 hours of community service. Perspective 1:Shared service can connect classroom learning with local needs and build civic responsibility. Perspective 2:Students who already work or provide family care may face an unequal burden from an unpaid requirement. Perspective 3:The university could support voluntary, paid or course-linked projects instead of mandating identical hours. Take a position on whether the university should adopt the requirement. Address at least one competing perspective and explain the conditions or evidence relevant to your judgment.

  1. Use 15 minutes to identify the central policy choice, underlying values and strongest counterargument.
  2. Use 35 minutes to write a clear position with reasons, a fair response to another perspective, and any relevant qualification.
  3. Use the final 5-minute self-review to mark the thesis, one evidence-to-claim connection, and one substantive response to a counterargument.

Answer: There is no single correct policy position. Check whether the reasons support the stated position, the competing view is represented fairly, and the conclusion preserves its own conditions.

Worked example

A city must allocate a limited public grant between a new cultural center and flood-resilience improvements. Perspective 1:A cultural center could broaden participation and support local employment. Perspective 2:Reducing flood risk protects essential housing and services even if the benefits are less visible in an ordinary year. Perspective 3:Residents should have a meaningful role in deciding priorities, but expert risk information should constrain the choices offered. Take a position on how the city should make this allocation. Engage with a competing perspective and identify the tradeoffs and uncertainty that matter.

  1. Use 15 minutes to distinguish the allocation decision, evidence about risk and competing public values.
  2. Use 35 minutes to defend a position while addressing a serious alternative and its strongest reason.
  3. Use 5 minutes to inspect whether your recommendation follows from your comparisons rather than merely listing benefits.

Answer: No official score or preferred allocation is supplied. A useful self-review checks the argument's support, treatment of the alternative, and acknowledgment of the relevant constraints.

Check progress without a score promise

Use the checklists to track completed work and the quality of explanations. Site accuracy cannot be converted into an official 120–180 score, and finishing a calendar does not establish readiness. Keep familiar-item results, authentic unseen-test results, writing rehearsals and the actual required writing assessment separate.

If your pace, access needs or unresolved errors differ from the assumptions, change the study calendar and record the new totals. The official sources govern test requirements and available free material; this resource supplies an original planning structure rather than official LSAC advice.

4-week study plan

8 estimated study hours per week

Start with these assumptions

  • Choose this compressed plan only if you can protect 8 hours each week, including one 150-minute uninterrupted test block in weeks 1, 3, 4 and separate setup/review time.
  • The plan is a foundation-and-official-practice schedule, not a complete prep course. Day 7 is rest or a budget-neutral reschedule, not extra required study.
  • Use three distinct free LawHub tests labelledA–C; an account is required, but no subscription or paid tutor is assumed. Previously seen tests must be labelled familiar.
  • Minutes are editorial planning estimates, not learner-validated promises. Approved timing accommodations require adjusting test blocks and weekly totals.
WEEK1

Establish an official baseline and separate argument roles, samples, conditionals and passage structure.

480 planned minutes

Day 1 A: verify test-cycle format, create a free LawHub account and select free tests A–C

20 min

Check your work: Confirm that this plan matches testing throughJune 2027. Record three distinct test identifiers marked free as A, B, C, without viewing their answers. Check the device/interface before starting the baseline; reserve the continuous test block.

Open the official resource

Public guidance is readable without an account; the official test interface requires a free LawHub account.

Day 1 B: official free PrepTest A, four sections plus the scheduled break

150 min

Check your work: Work four 35-minute sections with a 10-minute break after section two: 140+10=150 minutes. Do not inspect answers during the timed blocks. Record the actual test identifier, whether it was unseen, section timing, unanswered items, and confidence flags. This is practice, not an actual test administration; allow separately for setup and review.

Open the official resource

Free LawHub account/sign-in. Select one of the four full tests marked free; LawHub Advantage is not required. Labels A–D in this plan are your own labels for different free tests, not official test numbers. If the chosen test was already attempted, record it as a familiar repeat, not an unseen diagnostic; no purchase is needed.

Day 2: blind review then explanation review of official PrepTest A

60 min

Check your work: Before viewing the key, revisit the six highest-uncertainty or unfinished items and record your reasoning. Then compare with the official answer information available in your free account, note unresolved questions, and schedule them for a later review. Do not claim every test item received deep review in this limited block.

Open the official resource

Use the same free test already attempted; no additional test or subscription is required.

Day 3: structure and sampling lessons, then all 21 linked foundation questions

60 min

Check your work: Read structure before dependent LR lessons. For each argument mark the stated premises, main conclusion and target population. Answer all 21 listed questions; log any population mismatch before reading its explanation.

Day 4: conditional lesson and all 17 conditional questions

60 min

Check your work: Draw the implication direction or permission/obligation distinction for each listed set. Complete 17 questions and give a premise-consistent counterexample to one invalid converse.

Day 5: passage-map lesson and all 24 passage-map questions

80 min

Check your work: Write a one-sentence map for each of the eight short reading selections before answering its three questions. Explain why one true detail is narrower than the passage-wide point.

Day 6 A: retrieve the 15 structure, sampling, conditional and passage-map cards

20 min

Check your work: Attempt every listed card before turning it over. Mark uncertain distinctions and write a short corrective cue rather than copying the back.

Day 6 B: first checkpoint and error-log consolidation

30 min

Check your work: Reattempt these eight familiar questions to test explanation, not memory. Record one repaired sample inference, one conditional counterexample, and one passage map. Identify two unresolved issues for week 2.

Checkpoint

The day 6 check is already included in the 480 minutes. You should have first-passed 62 distinct site questions; official test results remain separate. Keep uncertainty flags even when the keyed choice happened to match.

If it still feels uncertain

If a premise/conclusion or conditional distinction is unresolved, reallocate 20 minutes from week 2 review/drill time to the structure lesson and lsat-010–lsat-015. Do not shorten an official timed section or add uncounted work.

WEEK2

Evaluate causal explanations, quantitative scope, evidence limits and text-supported inferences.

480 planned minutes

Day 1: causation lesson and all 18 causal questions

75 min

Check your work: For each argument set identify a competing causal explanation or direction. Complete all 18 items and distinguish evidence against an exclusive claim from proof of no effect.

Day 2: quantifiers lesson and all 21 quantity-and-scope questions

75 min

Check your work: Annotate the population or denominator and preserve some/most/all. Build a small numerical counterexample for one count-versus-percentage inference.

Day 3: evidence lesson and all 21 evidence questions

75 min

Check your work: State what the observation method can detect and identify the strength of the conclusion. Complete 21 questions and rewrite one absolute overclaim as a properly limited claim.

Day 4: reading-inference lesson and all 24 linked reading questions

90 min

Check your work: Read all eight short selections. Mark each rejected inference as contradicted, too strong, or not established; quote only the brief phrase needed in your private log.

Day 5 A: causal workshop and argument workshop

30 min

Check your work: Read both 15-minute illustrated guides. In the causal guide compare an alternative cause with a supporting mechanism; in the argument guide compare a necessary condition with a sufficient one. Treat reused site examples as worked review.

Day 5 B: 14 new retrieval cards for this week

25 min

Check your work: Retrieve all 14 fronts without viewing the backs; distinguish absolute from relative risk and observation from certainty.

Day 6 A: free official Logical Reasoning drill and evidence log

45 min

Check your work: Spend about half the block answering a manageable free Logical Reasoning drill, then the rest explaining the support for choices and why a plausible rival fails. Record the drill identifier and whether it was fresh or repeated; unfinished explanations carry into the next review block.

Open the official resource

Free LawHub account/sign-in; use a drill set marked free. Do not buy additional tests for this task. A previously completed free drill may be repeated to practise the stated reasoning goal; mark it as familiar.

Day 6 B: delayed reattempt — the exact inferential gap and one plausible rival answer for each case

35 min

Check your work: Reattempt these 12 familiar items without opening the key, then write the exact inferential gap and one plausible rival answer for each case. State what evidence changed or confirmed your earlier reasoning. Recognition of a remembered answer is not evidence of unseen-test improvement.

Day 6 C: second checkpoint

30 min

Check your work: Use these familiar cases to produce two alternative causes, two scope-preserving inferences and one absolute/relative distinction. Log unfinished explanations for week 3 rather than converting recognition into a score claim.

Checkpoint

First-pass site coverage now totals 146 distinct questions. Compare error categories, not raw scores from unlike short tasks and official sections.

If it still feels uncertain

For causal confusion, replace 20 minutes of week 3 review with lsat-004–lsat-009 and the causation lesson. For scope confusion use lsat-016–lsat-021. Choose one repair block within the budget, then reassess the explanation.

WEEK3

Finish the site foundation pool, practise qualified comparison and complete a second official test.

480 planned minutes

Day 1: analogy and evaluation lessons with their 24 questions

70 min

Check your work: Complete 6 analogy and 18 evaluation questions. Name the mechanism relevant to transfer, and distinguish source credibility from whether a claim is true.

Day 2 A: policy lesson and its 9 questions

40 min

Check your work: For each recommendation write the relevant goal, missing comparison and constraint. Do not replace a specific value gap with a blanket claim that costs always win.

Day 2 B: comparative lesson and all 21 paired-reading questions

60 min

Check your work: Map each author separately for all seven short pairs. Identify common ground before describing a qualification; do not infer that an author opposes a supplement merely because it was not mentioned.

Day 3 A: reading workshop

15 min

Check your work: Complete the seven paired-text comparisons and their retrieval checks; distinguish extension from rejection.

Day 3 B: remaining 11 new site cards

20 min

Check your work: Recall each front and explain how a qualified extension differs from contradiction. All 40 site cards should now have a first attempt.

Day 4: official free PrepTest B, four sections plus the scheduled break

Day 5: blind review then explanation review of official PrepTest B

75 min

Check your work: Before viewing the key, revisit the six highest-uncertainty or unfinished items and record your reasoning. Then compare with the official answer information available in your free account, note unresolved questions, and schedule them for a later review. Do not claim every test item received deep review in this limited block.

Open the official resource

Use the same free test already attempted; no additional test or subscription is required.

Day 6: all-pool checkpoint and cross-case comparison

50 min

Check your work: Reattempt these 24 familiar items across all 12 skills. For each uncertainty flag, compare the original and current explanation; separate timing, scope, causal, conditional and reading errors in the log.

Checkpoint

All 200 site questions, 12 lessons, 40 cards and 3 guides have now been assigned once. This is completion of the bounded foundation pool, not complete LSAT coverage. Compare official A and B only with their actual familiarity/timing conditions recorded.

If it still feels uncertain

Before week 4, choose the two least secure skills. Replace 20 minutes of its mixed-foundation block with their listed lesson and six flagged question IDs. Preserve the full official test and its break; if confusion persists, continue with the longer plan rather than treating schedule completion as readiness.

WEEK4

Consolidate explanations, rehearse writing and make a realistic next-study decision.

480 planned minutes

Day 1: delayed reattempt — a counterexample or textual support, without relying on remembered option letters

60 min

Check your work: Reattempt these 15 familiar items without opening the key, then write a counterexample or textual support, without relying on remembered option letters. State what evidence changed or confirmed your earlier reasoning. Recognition of a remembered answer is not evidence of unseen-test improvement.

Day 2: official free PrepTest C, four sections plus the scheduled break

Day 3: blind review then explanation review of official PrepTest C

Day 4: original writing rehearsal A, not an official submission

65 min

Check your work: Read the public writing guidance for 10 minutes; use original prompt A in this resource for 15 minutes of planning and 35 minutes of writing; spend 5 minutes checking the claim, counterargument and evidence links. Total 10+15+35+5=65 minutes. This is an original rehearsal, not the registered/proctored writing assessment and not a scored essay.

Open the official resource

Public official guidance; no account or subscription needed to read this page.

Day 5 A: delayed reattempt — the premise-to-conclusion bridge or passage relationship in one sentence

60 min

Check your work: Reattempt these 24 familiar items without opening the key, then write the premise-to-conclusion bridge or passage relationship in one sentence. State what evidence changed or confirmed your earlier reasoning. Recognition of a remembered answer is not evidence of unseen-test improvement.

Day 5 B: free official Reading Comprehension drill and evidence log

40 min

Check your work: Spend about half the block answering a manageable free Reading Comprehension drill, then the rest explaining the support for choices and why a plausible rival fails.

Day 6 A: all 40-card spaced retrieval

25 min

Check your work: Retrieve each card; separate remembered wording from ability to apply the distinction. Give one fresh personal example for two uncertain fronts.

Day 6 B: exit review and next-step choice

20 min

Check your work: List unresolved error categories, official-test familiarity, timing conditions and the next official/free resources to use. Check current test-day guidance. Choose continued study or qualified help where needed; do not translate site accuracy into an LSAT score.

Open the official resource

Public official guidance; no account or subscription needed to read this page.

Checkpoint

This final 20-minute check is included in 480 minutes. Keep three official tests and original writing practice distinct from the familiar site retests; no target score or readiness guarantee follows from finishing four weeks.

If it still feels uncertain

If explanations or timing remain inconsistent, use the 8- or 12-week structure for additional spaced review. Retain existing test histories; a repeated free test is valid review but not a new unseen diagnostic.

8-week study plan

6 estimated study hours per week

Start with these assumptions

  • Protect 6 hours each week; weeks 1, 4, 7 include an uninterrupted 150-minute official-practice block and separate review.
  • This plan spreads first-pass site work through week 6 and uses the remaining weeks for delayed retrieval and authentic transfer, not repeated claims of new coverage.
  • Choose free testsA–C in one LawHub account. Each schedule is an alternative, not a requirement to complete all three durations; known tests remain labelled familiar.
  • Day 7 is a rest or budget-neutral reschedule day. Estimates require adjustment for approved timing accommodations and actual learning pace.
WEEK1

Orient to the official interface and learn argument roles and representative sampling.

360 planned minutes

Day 1 A: current-cycle and free-account setup

20 min

Check your work: Verify the throughJune 2027 format, sign into a free LawHub account and reserve free test identifiersA–C without reviewing answers.

Open the official resource

Public official guidance; no account or subscription needed to read this page.

Day 3: structure lesson and all 9 structure questions

35 min

Check your work: Identify premises, an intermediate claim where relevant, and the main conclusion in every listed set.

Day 4: sampling lesson and all 12 sampling questions

45 min

Check your work: State sample, target population and selection process before deciding whether the generalization is supported.

Day 5: 8 structure/sampling cards

15 min

Check your work: Retrieve all eight fronts; give one population-mismatch example without copying the card back.

Day 6: baseline log and first checkpoint

35 min

Check your work: Reattempt these six familiar items. Separate a wrong conclusion identification from a weak-support judgment; carry two specific uncertainties into week 2.

Checkpoint

First-pass site count: 21. Official baseline review focuses on uncertainty and method; it does not certify readiness.

If it still feels uncertain

Replace 20 minutes of week 2 review with the structure lesson and lsat-022–lsat-027 if argument roles remain unclear. Preserve all timed sections.

WEEK2

Handle conditional direction and quantitative scope, with delayed retrieval of week 1.

360 planned minutes

Day 1: conditional lesson and 17 questions

65 min

Check your work: Translate the rule direction, identify necessary versus sufficient conditions and preserve permission versus obligation.

Day 2: quantifiers lesson and 21 questions

70 min

Check your work: Keep denominator, group size and scope words explicit; write one numerical counterexample.

Day 3: argument workshop and three worked contrasts

40 min

Check your work: Read the 15-minute guide, then spend 25 minutes reconstructing three case explanations without viewing the solutions. These are familiar worked examples, not extra unseen questions.

Day 4: delayed reattempt — a valid rule direction and the limit of each quantity claim

45 min

Check your work: Reattempt these 12 familiar items without opening the key, then write a valid rule direction and the limit of each quantity claim. State what evidence changed or confirmed your earlier reasoning. Recognition of a remembered answer is not evidence of unseen-test improvement.

Day 5: free official Logical Reasoning drill and evidence log

60 min

Check your work: Spend about half the block answering a manageable free Logical Reasoning drill, then the rest explaining the support for choices and why a plausible rival fails. Record the drill identifier and whether it was fresh or repeated; unfinished explanations carry into the next review block.

Open the official resource

Free LawHub account/sign-in; use a drill set marked free. Do not buy additional tests for this task. A previously completed free drill may be repeated to practise the stated reasoning goal; mark it as familiar.

Day 6 A: 8 conditional/quantifier cards

25 min

Check your work: Retrieve all fronts and annotate two errors as converse, inverse, count/share or overlap.

Day 6 B: conditional-and-scope checkpoint

55 min

Check your work: Use these ten familiar items to produce premise-consistent counterexamples and a count/share contrast. Explain the rejected rival; an answer-letter match is insufficient.

Checkpoint

First-pass site count: 59. The final 55-minute task includes the checkpoint and error-log work; it is not additional time.

If it still feels uncertain

If a counterexample violates a premise, replace 20 minutes of week 3 review/drill time with lsat-010–lsat-015 and lsat-130–lsat-131. Redraw the rule before retrying.

WEEK3

Distinguish alternative causes, evidence limits and practical significance.

360 planned minutes

Day 1: causation lesson and 18 questions

75 min

Check your work: For each set write one rival causal explanation and identify whether a new fact weakens or strengthens the actual conclusion.

Day 2: evidence lesson and 21 questions

80 min

Check your work: Separate nonobservation from absence, statistical detectability from practical importance, and limited observations from certainty.

Day 3: causal workshop and comparison notes

35 min

Check your work: Read the guide and spend 20 minutes comparing a controlled observation with a self-selected comparison. State the remaining uncertainty.

Day 4: delayed reattempt — the strongest claim justified and one claim the evidence does not establish

45 min

Check your work: Reattempt these 12 familiar items without opening the key, then write the strongest claim justified and one claim the evidence does not establish. State what evidence changed or confirmed your earlier reasoning. Recognition of a remembered answer is not evidence of unseen-test improvement.

Day 5: free official Logical Reasoning drill and evidence log

55 min

Check your work: Spend about half the block answering a manageable free Logical Reasoning drill, then the rest explaining the support for choices and why a plausible rival fails. Record the drill identifier and whether it was fresh or repeated; unfinished explanations carry into the next review block.

Open the official resource

Free LawHub account/sign-in; use a drill set marked free. Do not buy additional tests for this task. A previously completed free drill may be repeated to practise the stated reasoning goal; mark it as familiar.

Day 6 A: 7 causation/evidence cards

25 min

Check your work: Retrieve each distinction; construct one example with more than one possible cause.

Day 6 B: causal-evidence checkpoint

45 min

Check your work: For these familiar cases, distinguish an alternative explanation from disproof of every effect, and rewrite one universal conclusion more modestly.

Checkpoint

First-pass site count: 98. Judge explanation quality separately from familiarity with the scenario.

If it still feels uncertain

If the direction of effect is confused, substitute 20 minutes of week 4 review with lsat-004–lsat-009. If detection conditions are ignored, use lsat-049–lsat-051 and the evidence lesson.

WEEK4

Map short reading passages and compare a second official full test.

360 planned minutes

Day 1: passage-map lesson and 24 questions

60 min

Check your work: Map eight original short selections and distinguish central claims from true supporting details.

Day 2: reading-inference lesson and 24 questions

60 min

Check your work: For eight short selections classify each rejected choice by the exact unsupported change in scope or relationship.

Day 3: 6 reading cards

15 min

Check your work: Retrieve the map/inference distinctions and state what the text establishes without outside assumptions.

Day 4: official free PrepTest B, four sections plus the scheduled break

Day 5: blind review then explanation review of official PrepTest B

Day 6: reading-and-test checkpoint

15 min

Check your work: Reattempt four familiar items and compare their short-passage demands with the official test's longer reading. Identify one pacing adjustment to practise next.

Checkpoint

First-pass site count: 146. Short site selections are not a substitute for authentic long passages, so record official RC observations separately.

If it still feels uncertain

If the map omits the author's qualification, use 20 minutes from week 5 review to reread passage-map and lsat-132–lsat-137. Do not turn the official full test into a shorter task.

WEEK5

Evaluate analogy, credibility and policy comparisons; retain the existing LR foundations.

360 planned minutes

Day 1: analogy lesson and 6 questions

50 min

Check your work: Name one similarity or difference relevant to the mechanism rather than a superficial similarity.

Day 2: evaluation lesson and 18 questions

70 min

Check your work: Distinguish expertise, motive, circular support and origin from evidence about the claim itself.

Day 3: policy lesson and 9 questions

55 min

Check your work: For each recommendation identify the objective, alternatives and cost or value premise needed.

Day 4: re-read the argument workshop for comparison across policy and conditions

30 min

Check your work: This is intentional guide reuse: compare a missing sufficient condition with a missing policy priority. Write a new contrast instead of rereading passively.

Day 6 A: 9 analogy/evaluation/policy cards

20 min

Check your work: Retrieve all nine fronts and give a relevant versus irrelevant expertise example.

Day 6 B: delayed reattempt — which new fact addresses the specific gap rather than merely sounding favorable

35 min

Check your work: Reattempt these 9 familiar items without opening the key, then write which new fact addresses the specific gap rather than merely sounding favorable. State what evidence changed or confirmed your earlier reasoning. Recognition of a remembered answer is not evidence of unseen-test improvement.

Day 6 C: LR integration checkpoint

40 min

Check your work: Explain the most plausible rival for each familiar item and distinguish evidence criticism from rejecting a person or source wholesale.

Checkpoint

First-pass site count: 179; all 131 LR site questions have now been assigned. Official LR breadth remains larger than these teaching sets.

If it still feels uncertain

Replace 20 minutes of week 6 review with analogy and lsat-028–lsat-030 if the proposed difference is irrelevant; use policy and lsat-076–lsat-081 if a recommendation's priority is unstated.

WEEK6

Complete paired reading and rehearse an original argumentative-writing task.

360 planned minutes

Day 1: comparative lesson and 21 questions

60 min

Check your work: Map agreement before qualification in all seven pairs. Do not infer disagreement from a position that the first author did not address.

Day 2: reading workshop and text-to-choice checks

40 min

Check your work: Read the 15-minute guide and use 25 minutes to justify three relationships from the text before viewing worked checks.

Day 3: free official Reading Comprehension drill and evidence log

60 min

Check your work: Spend about half the block answering a manageable free Reading Comprehension drill, then the rest explaining the support for choices and why a plausible rival fails.

Day 4 A: delayed reattempt — a precise rule or textual support rather than a remembered answer

45 min

Check your work: Reattempt these 12 familiar items without opening the key, then write a precise rule or textual support rather than a remembered answer. State what evidence changed or confirmed your earlier reasoning. Recognition of a remembered answer is not evidence of unseen-test improvement.

Day 4 B: original writing rehearsal A, not an official submission

Day 5: 2 comparative cards plus uncertain earlier fronts

20 min

Check your work: First retrieve both comparative cards; then revisit the listed conditional/inference cards after the delay. Explain why extension is not automatically rejection.

Day 6: complete-pool audit and learning checkpoint

70 min

Check your work: Reattempt 24 familiar questions, two per skill. For each error or uncertainty record the task type, evidence, rejected rival and next repair. Confirm that all 200 site IDs and all 40 cards have a first attempt; do not treat this as complete LSAT coverage.

Checkpoint

All 200 questions, 12 lessons, 40 cards and 3 guides have been assigned. The 70-minute final task contains the audit and checkpoint; no extra block is implied.

If it still feels uncertain

Use the first 20 minutes of week 7's targeted-review block for the two most frequent error categories and six corresponding familiar IDs. Keep testC unseen if available and do not inspect its key in advance.

WEEK7

Assess transfer on a third free official test and repair the highest-impact errors.

360 planned minutes

Day 1: official free PrepTest C, four sections plus the scheduled break

Day 2: blind review then explanation review of official PrepTest C

90 min

Check your work: Before viewing the key, revisit the six highest-uncertainty or unfinished items and record your reasoning. Then compare with the official answer information available in your free account, note unresolved questions, and schedule them for a later review. Do not claim every test item received deep review in this limited block.

Open the official resource

Use the same free test already attempted; no additional test or subscription is required.

Day 3: delayed reattempt — one source of uncertainty and a stronger explanation than in the original attempt

60 min

Check your work: Reattempt these 18 familiar items without opening the key, then write one source of uncertainty and a stronger explanation than in the original attempt. State what evidence changed or confirmed your earlier reasoning. Recognition of a remembered answer is not evidence of unseen-test improvement.

Day 4: all 40 cards after a longer gap

20 min

Check your work: Retrieve every front and mark whether the distinction can be applied to a new self-created example, not just recited.

Day 5: compare official test conditions and timing flags

20 min

Check your work: Compare tests A–C only after recording actual familiarity and timing conditions. Separate long-passage, decision-process and pacing observations from familiar-site results.

Open the official resource

Review the same free tests A–C; no new test purchase is required.

Day 6: choose three official uncertainties and link a repair

20 min

Check your work: Name three official item identifiers that remain uncertain. Link each to a site skill where useful and state where the site task is simpler than the authentic question.

Open the official resource

Review the same free tests A–C; no new test purchase is required.

Checkpoint

The 360 minutes include the full test, 90-minute review and 40-minute checkpoint. Progress claims depend on authentic task conditions, not changes in familiar-site accuracy.

If it still feels uncertain

If a pattern is unresolved, replace 20 minutes of week 8's first review block with the relevant lesson and six specific logged items. A familiar test repeated under a timer remains review, not a fresh diagnostic.

WEEK8

Consolidate delayed retrieval, practise writing again and plan next steps without a score promise.

360 planned minutes

Day 1: delayed reattempt — the evidence for the answer and why one plausible distractor fails

60 min

Check your work: Reattempt these 24 familiar items without opening the key, then write the evidence for the answer and why one plausible distractor fails. State what evidence changed or confirmed your earlier reasoning. Recognition of a remembered answer is not evidence of unseen-test improvement.

Day 2: delayed reattempt — a repaired rule or passage interpretation after the delay

60 min

Check your work: Reattempt these 15 familiar items without opening the key, then write a repaired rule or passage interpretation after the delay. State what evidence changed or confirmed your earlier reasoning. Recognition of a remembered answer is not evidence of unseen-test improvement.

Day 3: one familiar official section, then timing review

60 min

Check your work: Spend 35 minutes reattempting one known section, then 25 minutes comparing your decision process and timing flags. Mark the material familiar and do not use its score as new evidence of unseen-test performance.

Open the official resource

Use a section of free testC already completed. Do not unlock or buy additional material.

Day 4: original writing rehearsal B, not an official submission

65 min

Check your work: Read the public writing guidance for 10 minutes; use original prompt B in this resource for 15 minutes of planning and 35 minutes of writing; spend 5 minutes checking the claim, counterargument and evidence links. Total 10+15+35+5=65 minutes. This is an original rehearsal, not the registered/proctored writing assessment and not a scored essay.

Open the official resource

Public official guidance; no account or subscription needed to read this page.

Day 5 A: all 40-card exit retrieval

25 min

Check your work: Recall before revealing; write new examples for two distinctions that remain uncertain.

Day 5 B: official test-day checklist and cycle check

25 min

Check your work: Check the current official checklist, ID/interface expectations, and your testing cycle. This is reading and planning only, not registration or a proctored submission.

Open the official resource

Public official guidance; no account or subscription needed to read this page.

Day 6: final error-log and next-study plan

65 min

Check your work: Use one familiar question per skill to explain remaining strengths and gaps. List which authentic free resources remain unused, any accommodation-related timing changes, and the next review dates. Do not translate local accuracy into an LSAT score or a guarantee of readiness.

Checkpoint

Week 8 remains 360 minutes. The final known-section repeat is deliberate timing analysis, and the original essay is a rehearsal rather than the official writing requirement.

If it still feels uncertain

If substantial gaps remain, continue the 12-week-style spacing or seek appropriately qualified help. Reuse free material transparently rather than implying that a paid subscription is necessary to complete this schedule.

12-week study plan

4 estimated study hours per week

Start with these assumptions

  • Protect 4 hours per week. Weeks 1, 5, 9, 11 include one uninterrupted 150-minute test block, so those weeks have fewer separate study sessions.
  • This plan first-passes the 200 site questions through week 10, allowing delayed retrieval rather than doing the same full pool every week.
  • Choose at most four free LawHub testsA–D for this one plan. Do not assume unlimited unseen free tests, and do not purchase Advantage to complete the schedule.
  • Day 7 is rest or budget-neutral rescheduling. Minutes are planning estimates; approved timing accommodations or a slower learning pace require changing totals or extending the calendar.
WEEK1

Establish official timing conditions and learn the structure prerequisite.

240 planned minutes

Day 1: format, free-interface orientation and structure lesson

30 min

Check your work: Read the 9-minute structure lesson, note its premise/conclusion distinction, and use the remaining 21 minutes to verify the current cycle and select free testsA–D without viewing answers.

Open the official resource

Public guidance; free account/sign-in for LawHub practice, no subscription.

Day 2: official free PrepTest A, four sections plus the scheduled break

Day 3: blind review three priority items from familiar official test A

30 min

Check your work: Before viewing the key, revisit three flagged items and write the supporting reasoning, plausible rival, and uncertainty. Record exact official item identifiers; this is review of the test already attempted.

Open the official resource

Use the same free test already attempted; no additional test or subscription is required.

Day 4: compare official answers and close or retain the three review flags

30 min

Check your work: Compare those same three items with official answer information available in the free account. Correct the reasoning log and retain unresolved questions for a later block; do not imply every item received deep review.

Open the official resource

Use the same free test already attempted; no additional test or subscription is required.

Checkpoint

All 240 minutes are assigned. This first week gathers a baseline rather than requiring a claimed mastery level. Reserve a 150-minute continuous block even in this lower-hour plan.

If it still feels uncertain

Keep unresolved baseline flags for later review. If setup takes longer, move a portion of the 60-minute review within this week or extend the calendar; do not silently omit a section or treat an interrupted run as standard.

WEEK2

Practise the structure lesson and learn sampling without rushing the inference.

240 planned minutes

Day 1: sampling lesson and all 12 sampling questions

45 min

Check your work: Name respondents, selection process and target population before evaluating the generalization.

Day 2: first-pass all 9 structure questions

35 min

Check your work: Apply last week's structure lesson to the nine linked tasks. Identify a premise and conclusion before viewing any key.

Day 3: 8 structure/sampling cards

20 min

Check your work: Retrieve each front, then describe one sample bias and one intermediate conclusion in your own words.

Day 4: free official Logical Reasoning drill and evidence log

Day 5: delayed reattempt — the distinction between identifying the conclusion and accepting its support

50 min

Check your work: Reattempt these 10 familiar items without opening the key, then write the distinction between identifying the conclusion and accepting its support. State what evidence changed or confirmed your earlier reasoning. Recognition of a remembered answer is not evidence of unseen-test improvement.

Day 6: first skill checkpoint

45 min

Check your work: Reattempt six familiar items and write the exact change needed to repair a weak sample inference. Carry concrete uncertainties into week 3.

Checkpoint

First-pass site count: 21. The day 6 task already contains the 45-minute checkpoint.

If it still feels uncertain

Use 20 minutes from week 3's review/drill allocation to revisit structure and lsat-022–lsat-027 if supporting statements are still mistaken for the conclusion.

WEEK3

Translate conditions and return to earlier arguments after a delay.

240 planned minutes

Day 1: conditional lesson and all 17 conditional questions

60 min

Check your work: Translate rules in the licensed direction and distinguish requirements from permission. Explain one valid contrapositive and one invalid converse.

Day 2: argument workshop and guided contrasts

40 min

Check your work: Read the 15-minute guide, then work three of its original contrasts without the explanation. The guide also previews quantity distinctions explored next week; mark those previews rather than claiming mastery.

Day 3: delayed reattempt — a premise-consistent counterexample to an invalid inference

35 min

Check your work: Reattempt these 9 familiar items without opening the key, then write a premise-consistent counterexample to an invalid inference. State what evidence changed or confirmed your earlier reasoning. Recognition of a remembered answer is not evidence of unseen-test improvement.

Day 4: free official Logical Reasoning drill and evidence log

Day 5: 4 conditional cards plus 4 earlier structure cards

20 min

Check your work: First retrieve the four new conditional fronts; then revisit the four earlier structure fronts after the delay.

Day 6: rule-direction checkpoint

40 min

Check your work: Use these familiar conditional items to test whether each proposed counterexample respects every premise. Record unresolved permission or sufficiency errors.

Checkpoint

First-pass site count: 38. Guide previews and familiar reattempts are not counted as new questions.

If it still feels uncertain

If a counterexample breaks a premise, replace 20 minutes of week 4 review with lsat-010–lsat-015 and formal tasks lsat-130–lsat-131.

WEEK4

Separate group quantities from claim strength and observation limits.

240 planned minutes

Day 1: quantifiers lesson and 21 questions

60 min

Check your work: Keep population sizes, counts and shares distinct; test a some/most/all claim with a compatible model.

Day 2: evidence lesson and 21 questions

60 min

Check your work: Separate what was detected from what was absent, and a practical benefit from a statistically detectable effect.

Day 3: 7 quantifier/evidence cards

20 min

Check your work: Retrieve all seven; give a new absolute-versus-relative example with its denominator.

Day 4: free official Logical Reasoning drill and evidence log

Day 5: delayed reattempt — a scope-preserving conclusion rather than a stronger universal statement

30 min

Check your work: Reattempt these 9 familiar items without opening the key, then write a scope-preserving conclusion rather than a stronger universal statement. State what evidence changed or confirmed your earlier reasoning. Recognition of a remembered answer is not evidence of unseen-test improvement.

Day 6: quantities-and-evidence checkpoint

25 min

Check your work: Explain one count/share distinction and one detection limit in these familiar items. Identify exactly what extra evidence a stronger claim would need.

Checkpoint

First-pass site count: 80. Classify the type of inference failure, not just whether an answer matches the key.

If it still feels uncertain

If scope or denominator errors persist, use 20 minutes of week 5's review for lsat-016–lsat-021. Never shorten testB's timed work or scheduled break.

WEEK5

Recheck authentic performance and prepare the causal framework.

240 planned minutes

Day 1: causation lesson and a two-explanation map

30 min

Check your work: Read the 9-minute lesson and use 21 minutes to draw direct effect, reverse effect and common-cause possibilities for its example. The 18 linked site questions are first-passed next week.

Day 2: official free PrepTest B, four sections plus the scheduled break

Day 3: blind review three priority items from familiar official test B

Checkpoint

This week totals 240 minutes and intentionally leaves no new site-question quota beside the lesson. Official testB is separate from site coverage.

If it still feels uncertain

Record causal uncertainties from B for week 6. If B was already seen, label it familiar and compare reasoning conditions, not a supposedly new score.

WEEK6

Apply causal distinctions and evaluate sources without rejecting people.

240 planned minutes

Day 1: first-pass all 18 causal questions

55 min

Check your work: Use last week's lesson. State the proposed cause and outcome, then classify each new finding's effect on that exact conclusion.

Day 2: evaluation lesson and 18 questions

65 min

Check your work: Distinguish relevant expertise, motive, circularity, origin and novelty. Reject a claim only for a reason that bears on its support.

Day 3: causal workshop and one reconstructed example

30 min

Check your work: Read the 15-minute guide, then spend 15 minutes reconstructing a mechanism-versus-alternative comparison without looking at the worked solution.

Day 4: 7 causal/evaluation cards

20 min

Check your work: Retrieve each front and create a new example of a possibly biased speaker making a potentially true claim.

Day 5: free official Logical Reasoning drill and evidence log

35 min

Check your work: Spend about half the block answering a manageable free Logical Reasoning drill, then the rest explaining the support for choices and why a plausible rival fails. Record the drill identifier and whether it was fresh or repeated; unfinished explanations carry into the next review block.

Open the official resource

Free LawHub account/sign-in; use a drill set marked free. Do not buy additional tests for this task. A previously completed free drill may be repeated to practise the stated reasoning goal; mark it as familiar.

Day 6: cause-and-credibility checkpoint

35 min

Check your work: Use the eight familiar items to explain what follows from a credibility concern and what still requires evidence. List one repair target for week 7.

Checkpoint

First-pass site count: 116. Causal guide examples are deliberate reinforcement of the reasoning method, not an additional unseen pool.

If it still feels uncertain

Use 20 minutes of week 7 transfer review for the causation lesson and lsat-004–lsat-009 if temporal sequence is still treated as proof of the full causal claim.

WEEK7

Finish LR foundations by comparing mechanisms and policy priorities.

240 planned minutes

Day 1: analogy lesson and 6 questions

40 min

Check your work: Explain which case difference changes the mechanism rather than merely naming a surface difference.

Day 2: policy lesson and 9 questions

50 min

Check your work: List the goal, cost horizon, constraint and best forgone alternative relevant to each recommendation.

Day 3: argument-workshop revisit for policy versus rule gaps

25 min

Check your work: This is intentional reuse after four weeks. Identify one missing condition and one missing priority; explain why they need different repairs.

Day 4: free official Logical Reasoning drill and evidence log

Day 5: 6 analogy/policy cards

20 min

Check your work: Retrieve each front and apply one opportunity-cost distinction to a new fictional policy choice.

Day 6: delayed reattempt — a relevant comparison and a precise premise-to-conclusion connection

60 min

Check your work: Reattempt these 16 familiar items without opening the key, then write a relevant comparison and a precise premise-to-conclusion connection. State what evidence changed or confirmed your earlier reasoning. Recognition of a remembered answer is not evidence of unseen-test improvement.

Checkpoint

All 131 site LR questions are now assigned. Completing these teaching sets does not supply the breadth or density of all official LR material.

If it still feels uncertain

If analogy differences remain irrelevant, use 20 minutes from week 8 review to revisit lsat-028–lsat-030. If value priorities are unstated, revisit lsat-076–lsat-081.

WEEK8

Build short-passage maps before making inferences under pressure.

240 planned minutes

Day 1: passage-map lesson and first 12 mapping questions

50 min

Check your work: Map the first four short selections; answer three linked questions per selection and distinguish the whole point from a true detail.

Day 2: remaining 12 mapping questions

40 min

Check your work: Map the remaining four short selections before the choices. Preserve the author's qualification in each one-sentence map.

Day 3: free official Reading Comprehension drill and evidence log

45 min

Check your work: Spend about half the block answering a manageable free Reading Comprehension drill, then the rest explaining the support for choices and why a plausible rival fails.

Day 4: 3 passage-map cards plus 3 earlier evidence cards

15 min

Check your work: Retrieve the new passage-map fronts and delayed evidence-limit fronts. Explain which questions ask for role rather than truth.

Day 5: delayed reattempt — the function of the specifically named statement, not another sentence nearby

45 min

Check your work: Reattempt these 12 familiar items without opening the key, then write the function of the specifically named statement, not another sentence nearby. State what evidence changed or confirmed your earlier reasoning. Recognition of a remembered answer is not evidence of unseen-test improvement.

Day 6: mapping checkpoint

45 min

Check your work: Use three familiar selections to draw maps and support a function answer with the exact targeted sentence. List one difference between these short texts and the official longer passages.

Checkpoint

First-pass site count: 155. The official drill supplies authentic presentation without converting the shortened site passages into full-length simulation.

If it still feels uncertain

If a role explanation describes the wrong sentence, replace 20 minutes of week 9 review with passage-map and lsat-144–lsat-146; read the targeted statement aloud before explaining its role.

WEEK9

Check an authentic full test and introduce text-supported inference.

240 planned minutes

Day 1: reading-inference lesson and a qualification checklist

30 min

Check your work: Read the 9-minute lesson and use 21 minutes to distinguish stated, supported, contradicted and not established claims. First-pass inference questions follow next week.

Day 2: official free PrepTest C, four sections plus the scheduled break

Day 3: blind review three priority items from familiar official test C

Checkpoint

Week 9 totals 240 minutes. TestC is the third selected free full test and remains separate from the 155 site IDs first-passed so far.

If it still feels uncertain

Carry text-support uncertainties into week 10. If testC is familiar, record that fact and use the review to analyse decisions rather than describe its result as an unseen diagnostic.

WEEK10

Complete reading inference and compare qualified viewpoints.

240 planned minutes

Day 1: all 24 reading-inference questions

60 min

Check your work: Read all eight original short selections and label rejected choices by the specific unsupported change in scope or relationship.

Day 2: comparative lesson and 21 questions

65 min

Check your work: Map agreement and extension in all seven pairs. Do not turn an unaddressed supplement into an explicit disagreement.

Day 3: reading workshop and two reconstructed comparisons

30 min

Check your work: Read the 15-minute guide and use 15 minutes to reconstruct two comparisons from the texts without looking at the worked checks.

Day 4: 5 inference/comparative cards plus 3 earlier mapping cards

20 min

Check your work: First retrieve the five new fronts, then the three delayed mapping fronts; apply each distinction to a real listed selection.

Day 5: free official Reading Comprehension drill and evidence log

35 min

Check your work: Spend about half the block answering a manageable free Reading Comprehension drill, then the rest explaining the support for choices and why a plausible rival fails. Record the drill identifier and whether it was fresh or repeated; unfinished explanations carry into the next review block.

Free LawHub account/sign-in; use a drill set marked free. Do not buy additional tests for this task. A previously completed free drill may be repeated to practise the stated reasoning goal; mark it as familiar.

Day 6: complete-foundation checkpoint

30 min

Check your work: Use nine familiar items to distinguish central point, supported inference and function. Confirm all 200 site IDs, 12 lessons, 40 cards and 3 guides have been assigned at least once.

Checkpoint

The bounded site pool is complete. This is a foundation-coverage checklist only; no score conversion or official-content-completion claim is made.

If it still feels uncertain

Use 20 minutes from week 11's 60-minute review to revisit the weakest of inference or comparison, using the relevant lesson and six logged site items. Preserve the full test block.

WEEK11

Use the fourth free official full test and prioritise remaining errors.

240 planned minutes

Day 1: official free PrepTest D, four sections plus the scheduled break

Day 2: blind review three priority items from familiar official test D

30 min

Check your work: Before viewing the key, revisit three flagged items and write the supporting reasoning, plausible rival, and uncertainty. Record exact official item identifiers; this is review of the test already attempted.

Open the official resource

Use the same free test already attempted; no additional test or subscription is required.

Day 3: compare official answers and close or retain the three review flags

30 min

Check your work: Compare those same three items with official answer information available in the free account. Correct the reasoning log and retain unresolved questions for a later block; do not imply every item received deep review.

Open the official resource

Use the same free test already attempted; no additional test or subscription is required.

Day 4: retrieve the first 20 familiar cards

10 min

Check your work: Attempt each front before revealing the back; mark uncertain distinctions and record whether an application example is possible.

Day 5: retrieve the remaining 20 familiar cards

10 min

Check your work: Attempt each front before revealing the back; mark uncertain distinctions and record whether an application example is possible.

Day 6: remaining-gap checkpoint

10 min

Check your work: List the three least-secure distinctions and the exact site or official identifiers showing each gap. Choose the week 12 repair focus; this check is already included in the weekly 240 minutes.

Checkpoint

The plan has used at most four distinct free full testsA–D. It assumes no fifth unseen free test, and no paid expansion is required.

If it still feels uncertain

In week 12 replace 20 minutes of the targeted repair block with the most frequent unresolved distinction. Repeating free material is acceptable review when labelled familiar; it does not create a new diagnostic.

WEEK12

Finish with delayed explanation, an original writing rehearsal and a sustainable next-step plan.

240 planned minutes

Day 1: delayed reattempt — the evidence link and why a plausible rival fails, after a delay

60 min

Check your work: Reattempt these 24 familiar items without opening the key, then write the evidence link and why a plausible rival fails, after a delay. State what evidence changed or confirmed your earlier reasoning. Recognition of a remembered answer is not evidence of unseen-test improvement.

Day 2: delayed reattempt — one repaired distinction rather than a memorized choice

40 min

Check your work: Reattempt these 10 familiar items without opening the key, then write one repaired distinction rather than a memorized choice. State what evidence changed or confirmed your earlier reasoning. Recognition of a remembered answer is not evidence of unseen-test improvement.

Day 3: original writing rehearsal A, not an official submission

Day 4: final 40-card retrieval

20 min

Check your work: Recall before revealing each back. For two uncertain fronts, create a new example and check its scope.

Day 5: current official preparation and test-day guidance

20 min

Check your work: Verify the relevant testing cycle and official preparation/checklist entry points. This task does not register, submit writing or purchase anything.

Day 6: exit log and continued-study decision

35 min

Check your work: Use one familiar site question per skill to articulate unresolved errors, official-test familiarity, and next review dates. Judge the quality of explanations and actual test conditions; do not infer an official score from site accuracy.

Checkpoint

All 240 minutes are assigned. Site retests and the original writing rehearsal remain distinct from authentic free PrepTests and the required official writing assessment.

If it still feels uncertain

If gaps remain, keep the error log and continue targeted spaced review or seek qualified feedback. A twelve-week completion certificate is not promised, and completion is not evidence of a particular LSAT score.
