Current Version 7 scope and an honest learning claim
- Distinguish total and scored items and recognise actual question formats.
Selected Version 7 academic foundations across Reading, Mathematics, Science and English and Language Usage. This is not full content coverage, an exam-weighted or full-length mock, an alternate-format simulator, a clinical-care guide or an admissions guarantee. All passages, tables, records and cases are independently authored; no secure ATI items or textbook examples/diagrams are reproduced. Qualified educator review remains pending.
ATI’s Test of Essential Academic Skills assesses academic foundations for health-science applicants. Its current Version 7 structure has four areas: Reading, Mathematics, Science, and English and Language Usage. ATI lists 170 total items with 209 minutes of allocated testing time. The outline distinguishes 150 scored items from 20 unscored pretest items. Those are two different counts of the same examination, not competing versions of its length. The official scored allocation is 39 Reading, 34 Mathematics, 44 Science and 33 English items. Section testing times are 55, 57, 60 and 37 minutes respectively. Our twelve cases deliberately give three to each broad area so a learner can explore different reasoning errors. That even distribution is an editorial choice; it is not an exam blueprint, a full-length simulation or a basis for converting twelve answers into an official score. Actual question formats extend beyond four-option multiple choice. ATI lists multiple select, numeric fill-in, hot spot and ordered response as well. This pilot’s questions practise selected concepts and explanations only. A learner still needs appropriate experience responding in those other formats and much broader content study. This guide does not supply official secure items, clinical-care instructions, a recognised course completion or an admissions guarantee. Worked application: a fictional learner completes all twelve cases correctly and labels the record “full ATI TEAS completed.” The record’s support is narrower: twelve selected four-option cases were completed in this pilot. The official exam has 170 total items and additional response formats, so neither the full-exam completion claim nor an official-score claim follows. Replace the label with the actual practice performed and list the unpractised content and formats. Correct answers are useful evidence about these cases, not evidence that omitted tasks were attempted. The ten local units below are sections of this actual guide. Their IDs are not links to pre-existing ATI lessons on OpenExam. Read their examples, attempt the original cases and retrieve the cards; then use the remaining-gap list to plan further academic work. Source dates, independent review and qualified educator review are different kinds of evidence. Qualified educator review remains pending.
Linked lessons cover selected foundations. Use the official syllabus to plan any topics beyond this pilot.
